2014 Hot Pepper Fest: Picture Recap

The Palestine Hot Pepper festival is almost like a local holiday–everyone goes to the festival! (and for good reason! It’s a blast!) The weather was great–a fabulous mixture of a nice breeze hitting your slightly sweaty skin–what more can you ask for for Hot Pepper Festival day!  We hit the highlights–the food alley (corny dogs are my favorite festival guilty pleasure and a definite must for me) and checked out the kid’s zone and the parade.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get to make it to the live music on Saturday night, but I heard it was GREAT! (There’s always next year!) It was another great festival in a great town! Now for a few thousand pics from the festival: (Just kidding, I tried to keep it under 20 pics! haha)

HOT, HOT, HOT! Palestine Hot Pepper Festival is October 25th!

This year’s theme is “Peppers and Patriots,” giving a big shout out to our veterans! What a fantastic theme! The Hot Pepper Fest is one of the “hottest events in Palestine, Texas” on October 25th from 10am-11pm! Come out and enjoy the fun as downtown Palestine turns into the annual festival! This event is a HUGE event in Palestine. It is estimated there will be about 10,000 visitors downtown this year! Bring the whole family!

Pumpernickel, Brats & Beer: Oktoberfest Chamber Banquet is this Saturday!

Oktoberfest Chamber Banquet is this Saturday! 

Join the Palestine Chamber of Commerce as the year’s events are highlighted, along with a fine sampling of german culture, cuisine and, of course, German beer!  There will be a DJ, live entertainment, a large silent auction and great networking opportunities!  I will be there working the event in my official Chamber Ambassador duties. Come see me and have some great food and fun!

October 18: Chamber Annual Banquet – Oktoberfest: A Journey through German Culture, 6pm – 10pm, Ben E. Keith Beverages.  Tables available for $650. Tickets: $45 per person/ $85 per couple. LET’S GO PUNKIN’ HUNTIN’ (but not have to drive too far!) 😉

 I don’t know about you, but I am feeling “fallish!” I am normally a summer lover and start getting sad that the dog days of summer are behind us and the cold weather is coming.  However, this year, I am looking forward to fall.  There are several cool events coming up in October that will definitely get you in the fall spirit!

The weather is cooling off and the summer is winding to a close. As much as I love summer, I am excited for the great events coming up this fall.
